SUTTON-DAVID-46

Welcome, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Our Savior Lutheran is a traditonal Lutheran Church, offering the gifts of the Holy Spirit at each worship service.  We use a traditional liturgy that offers those gifts, and gives thanks in prayers and hymns led by the music of an organ and voices that have grown up in Lutheran Hymnody.

The historic liturgy sets aside the questions of "What must I do to satisfy God?" and presents the truth of His Word, that all has been done for you in and through Christ Jesus.  As Paul wrote in the third chapter of his letter to the Romans,  "For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law."

During worship at OSL the scriptures are read for your hearing, "for faith comes by hearing and hearing through the Word of Christ." (Rom. 10:17), and "These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (John 20:31)

His Word is preached in Law and Gospel, so that we might come to know our sin, " there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..." and that Christ has suffered for our sin and removed God's wrath from us, "...and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,  whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith." (Rom 3:22b-25)

I invite you and your family to join us as beleivers in Christ, and to enjoy God's rich blessings with us.

+++The peace of the Lord be with you.
